In response to the AAP's allegations, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena strongly criticized the statement, denouncing it as unwarranted and false. He emphasized that such impropriety is unacceptable, particularly on the eve of an election, and suggested that these claims were part of a deliberate strategy to mislead voters. Saxena asserted that strict action would be taken against such behavior, as per media reports.
The sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls encompasses various states, with a total of 889 candidates vying for positions. Notably, all parliamentary seats in Delhi and Haryana are up for election in this phase. This phase is expected to witness a closely contested battle among AAP, Congress, and BJP, especially in Delhi, where the BJP has previously secured all seven Lok Sabha seats in the past two elections. Both Congress and AAP are contesting on multiple seats, forming a significant part of the INDIA bloc.
