The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive set of advisories in anticipation of the vote counting scheduled for June 4, 2024, across the national capital.

Delhi Traffic Advisories for June 4 Vote Counting:

1. Commonwealth Games Village, Akshardham, Delhi:

  • Traffic restrictions will be enforced from 5 am onwards on June 4 in the Commonwealth Games Village and Akshardham areas.
  • Commuters travelling from Sarai Kale Khan/MGM side towards NH-24 are advised to take the Akshardham flyover and turn left towards Pusta Road/ITO/Vikas Marg.
  • Those coming from the ITO/Pusta Road side should proceed up to Akshardham Flyover, take a U-turn after crossing it, and head towards NH-24.
  • Cooperation from commuters is requested to minimize traffic congestion, with public transport recommended for a hassle-free journey.

2. ITI Nand Nagri, Delhi:

  • Vote counting for PC-02 (North-East, Delhi) will take place at ITI Nand Nagri, leading to traffic restrictions from 5 am onwards on June 4.
  • Traffic will be diverted from key points including the Bhopura border, Tahirpur T-point, and Gagan Cinema T-Point.
  • Wazirabad Road (Mangal Pandey Road) will be closed for general traffic, with diversions implemented from Gagan Cinema T-Point to facilitate alternate routes.

3. Atal Adarsh Balika School Gole Market:

  • Vote counting for New Delhi Constituency (PC -04) is scheduled to commence from 8 am onwards on June 4, affecting traffic in the vicinity.
  • To manage traffic effectively, strict restrictions will be imposed on vehicle parking at specified locations including Bhai Veer Singh Marg, Kali Bari Marg, and roundabouts.
  • Vehicles found parked in restricted zones will be towed away, with designated parking areas identified to prevent congestion.

4. SKV, Bharat Nagar, Delhi:

  • Vote counting at SKV, Bharat Nagar, on June 4 will result in traffic restrictions from 7 am to 10 pm.
  • Diversions will be implemented at key points such as Red Light, LBS College, Swami Narayan Marg, and Shankar Chowk near Water Tank.
  • Motorists are advised to avoid specific roads including Swami Narayan Marg and Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar Marg JJ Colony Bharat Nagar to facilitate smooth traffic movement.
