J&K: Rajnath to brief PM Modi about all party delegation visit
New Delhi, Sept 6: Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh will brief Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the all party delegation visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting has been scheduled for 11 am on Tuesday. An all party delegation led by Singh was in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday and Monday.

Singh would update the prime minister about the visit and also appraise him of the ground situation. He would also convey to the prime minister about the three point agenda suggested by the state government.
During a presentation made by the finance minister of Jammu and Kashmir, he had urged the centre to release funds for the state. He further told the delegation that a re-think on the Armed Forces Special Powers Act would be needed.
The Finance Minister also sought for a complete ban on pellet guns.
Further Singh is also likely to raise the issue of the separatists. The separatists had refused to meet with the members of the delegation. The Home Minister will also emphasise on the need to engage civil society more to find a way out to ensure peace and calm returns to the Valley.
