'Kabhi Delhi Ka Beta, Kabhi Haryana Ka Laal, Ab Punjabi Puttar': Swati Maliwal Takes A Jibe At Arvind Kejriwal

Swati Maliwal, Rajya Sabha member with the support of Aam Aadmi Party, once again came out all guns blazing at the AAP chief and former CM Arvind Kejriwal. On Wednesday, she posted a sarcastic post on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) without taking Arvind Kejriwal's name. She said, "Kursi Kay Liye Kabhi Delhi Ka Beta, Kabhi Haryana Ka Laal, Ab Punjab Da Putta" (For the sake of the chair, he becomes Delhi's son, then turns Haryana's son and Punjab's son).

Her comments came after news speculating that Arvind Kejriwal may go to Rajya Sabha from Punjab. However, Aam Aadmi Party was quick to junk all such unconfirmed reports.

These speculations were sparked after AAP nominated Sanjeev Arora, a Rajya Sabha MP, to contest the Ludhiana West assembly by-election, hinting at a possible strategic move.

Although the by-election date is yet to be announced, Sanjeev Arora expressed his gratitude and commitment to serving his hometown with dedication and sincerity.

Sanjeev Arora's candidacy for the Ludhiana West assembly by-election comes in the wake of the death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi. Gogi's death, caused by an accidental gunshot wound from his licensed weapon, has led to a vacant seat and the forthcoming by-election. Arora's selection signifies the AAP's strategy to maintain its influence in Punjab, with the party leveraging its Rajya Sabha members for key electoral battles.
