In Pictures: When Bill Gates visited India with wife Melinda

New Delhi, Sep 19: During a visit to India, former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and his wife Melinda, who represent the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, met several Indian leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They were in conversation with popular Indian author Chetan Bhagat on the topic "All Loves Have Equal Value".

Replying to a question on what their expectations were from the Narendra Modi government, Melinda Gates said, "We are very enthused with the government that has come to power."

Gates met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi on Thursday.

He also attended the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Newborn Action Plan (INAP) by Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and commended him for his pioneering work in polio eradication.

Gates also called on Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.
