The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive advisory ahead of the Guru Purnima celebrations at Guruji ka Ashram, B-13, Bhati Mines, Mehrauli, scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM onwards. With a massive turnout of nearly 1 lakh devotees expected, including VIPs and dignitaries, authorities have put in place special traffic regulations and diversions to ensure smooth movement and public safety in South Delhi.

Traffic Restrictions and Diversions (On-Need Basis)

To manage the anticipated congestion:

Heavy vehicles will be restricted on Bhati Mines Road and SSN Marg from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight on July 10.

Traffic congestion may also occur on:

Bhati Mines Road
SSN Marg
Mandi Road
MG Road
Anuvrat Marg

Motorists using these routes are advised to plan ahead and expect delays.

Suggested Alternate Routes

Commuters traveling from Mehrauli, Saket, and AIIMS side towards Gurugram via MG Road are encouraged to take an alternate route via Aurobindo Marg - Outer Ring Road - NH-48 to avoid congestion.

Emergency Vehicle Movement

All emergency services-including Delhi Police, ambulance, and fire brigade-will be permitted on restricted roads during duty. However, they are advised to avoid SSN Marg and 100 Foota Road for smoother transit.

The public is requested to:

Plan travel to railway stations, airports, and hospitals in advance.
Avoid affected areas between 7:00 AM and 12:00 Midnight.
Use public transport whenever possible to reduce congestion.
