Girl allegedly raped in Delhi, accused arrested
New Delhi, Dec 16: A 20-year-old Noida woman was allegedly raped by a taxi driver in Moti Bagh, Delhi on Thursday. According to ANI reports, Police said that the victim was offered a lift by the cab driver, who then allegedly raped her in his car. The Delhi police have arrested the accused cab driver.
The incident happened when the woman was waiting for a bus near the AIIMS, the cab driver bearing a ministry of home affairs sticker approached her and offered to drop her home. The Maruti Suzuki SX4 car, in which the woman was allegedly raped, has been also seized.
The woman has alleged that after driving a short distance, the driver parked at a deserted place and raped her. He allegedly ran away when she screamed for help. A case has been registered against the accused. A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 357 and 376. Police have arrested the culprit from his friend's residence.
In yet another incident, a teenager was allegedly gangraped by two of her classmates at a bithday party in West Delhi. The girl told the police that the friend who invited her to the party forced her to drink with him. When she passed out, the friend allegedly forced himself on her and later called another friend to join him. The boys allegedly dragged her out of the house and left her by the roadside later.
