An Air India spokesperson stated, "Air India flight AI807, flying from Delhi to Bengaluru, returned to Delhi this evening after a fire warning from its auxiliary power unit. After the pilots followed necessary protocols, the aircraft made an uneventful landing, and all passengers and crew deplaned safely at the aerobridge."

It was emphasized by Air India that the safety and well-being of its passengers are top priorities. Alternative arrangements were made by ground staff for passengers to proceed to their destination as soon as possible. Flight tracking website flightradar24 indicated that the flight was operated with an A321 aircraft, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Officials from Delhi Fire Services reported that three fire tenders were dispatched. A DFS official stated, "A call was received from IGI Airport at 6.15 pm regarding a fire. Three fire tenders were dispatched." This incident occurred days after bomb threats targeted Delhi airport and several hospitals in the national capital via email on Sunday.

Delhi fire services chief informed that the call regarding the bomb threat at Indira Gandhi International Airport was received at around 6.15 pm. Garg said, "A call about a bomb threat at IGI Airport was received around 6.15 pm. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot."

This incident follows closely after a recent series of similar threats in Delhi and Ahmedabad. Recently, over 130 schools across Delhi-NCR received emails alleging the presence of explosives on their premises, causing widespread panic, immediate evacuations, and thorough searches of the educational institutions, as per media reports.

The Delhi Police approached the Russian mailing service company Mail.ru via Interpol to trace the source of the e-mails. An FIR was registered against unknown persons, stating that the intention of the bomb hoax emails was to create mass panic and disturb public order in the national capital.
