Delhi Weather Updates

Sharing the updates about chilly weather conditions in Delhi and adjoining areas, an official working with the weather monitoring department said, "Dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to prevail in morning hours over some parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi on 05th February and in isolated pockets on 6th February."

Light-intensity rain or drizzle is also expected on Monday in the several areas adjoined to Delhi like Loni Dehat, Ghaziabad, Chhapraula, Nazibabad, Khatauli, Sakoti Tanda, Chandpur, Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, and Hapur (U.P.), predicted the RWFC Delhi on February 5.

The IMD forecasts light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated locations, in North Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, and West Uttar Pradesh.

According to the weather experts, unexpected rains in Delhi and NCR are going to happen because of the influence of two western disturbances. "One patch is moving across Delhi and is currently giving light to moderate rainfall at a few places, accompanied by moderate to intense thunderstorms and lightning and gusty winds...Another patch is moving from Rohtak and Jhajjar (Haryana) towards Delhi, this may give another spell of light to moderate rainfall at a few places accompanied by moderate to intense thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds," a weather department official said.
