Delhi Weather Alert: IMD Issues Yellow Alerts For Heatwaves; Weather Forecast From Today Till 15th June
According to the India Meteorological Department's Regional Centre in Delhi, today there has only been a green alert for clear skies and gusty winds throughout the day.
The next four days, however, IMD has given warnings of heatwaves so readers in Delhi may want to be careful when going outside.

Delhi Weather And Temperature For The Next Week:
Today, 9 June, the weather will remain relatively calm, with clear skies and occasional strong gusts of wind hitting the area, with speeds between 25 km/h to 35 km/h.
From 10 June till 13 June, however, Delhi will be experiencing heatwaves again as many parts of the region may hit temperatures all the way up 45°C to 46°C. Some areas in Delhi like Najafgarh, Narela, Pitampura, and Pusa may even see temperatures that go all the way up to 47°C.
As for minimum temperatures, areas in Delhi like Jafarpur, Mungeshpur, areas around Delhi University, Lodi Road, Ridge, Safdarjung, may experience temperatures going all the way down to 26°C to 27°C, with other parts of Delhi seeing a minimum between 28°C to 31°C.
As for weather from 14 June onwards, only more green alerts have been given by IMD, forecasting clear skies and strong winds with speeds ranging between 30 km/h to 40 km/h.
IMD's Advice For The Yellow Alert Heatwaves Coming Soon:
IMD feels that the coming heat can be tolerated by the general public, but may put the vulnerable segments of the population at risk, like children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses. It has given the following advice to combat the heat:
- Avoid Heat Exposure
- Wear Lightweight, Light-Coloured, And Loose Clothing
- Cover Your Head: Use A Hat, An Umbrella, Or A Piece Of Cloth
