Delhi Water Cut: Delhi Jal Board Announces 2-Day Supply Disruption, Check Affected Areas

Delhi Water Cut: Residents in several parts of South Delhi are likely to face water supply issues on April 25 and 26, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced. The disruption is due to repair work being carried out on a major pipeline near Sadiq Nagar.

According to a public notice issued by DJB, areas including Chirag Delhi, Khirki Extension, Panchsheel Vihar, Saket, and nearby localities will be affected. There will be no water supply in these areas on the mentioned dates.

The DJB has advised residents to store enough water in advance to avoid any inconvenience. "During the shutdown, water tankers will be made available on request. People can contact DJB through the provided emergency numbers or the toll-free helpline," the notice said.

Water Issues in Southwest Delhi

Earlier, on April 21, several parts of Southwest Delhi also experienced a water supply suspension due to maintenance and interconnection work on a 1,000 mm feeder line from the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant.

The supply was halted for 12 hours from 10 am in areas such as Yashobhoomi Dwarka, Bharthal village, Dhulsiras, Bamnoli, and surrounding places.

Additionally, water was not available between 3 pm and 8 pm in parts of West Delhi, including Udyog Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Chanchal Park, and other neighboring colonies.

Residents across the city are advised to stay updated with DJB announcements and plan accordingly.
