Delhi School Holidays: Schools To Stay Closed For 3 Days In November - Here’s Why
Good news for school students in Delhi: they can expect more holidays this November. While Diwali festivities have come to an end, the capital has once again become a gas chamber due to high pollution levels. The air quality index (AQI) in some parts of Delhi has crossed 400, reaching the "severe" category. This has raised concerns among parents about their children's health, leading many schools to cancel morning assemblies.
Although no official update has been provided by the state government regarding additional holidays for schools, last year, schools were shut due to pollution after Diwali. This year, the state government has yet to announce a similar move.

Delhi Schools Closed on November 7 for Chhath Puja
In addition to the pollution concerns, Delhi schools will remain closed on November 7 for Chhath Puja, as confirmed by Chief Minister Atishi. All schools in the state will observe this holiday.
Potential School Closures Due to Rising Pollution Levels
While the state government has not yet made an official decision about more holidays due to pollution, there is a possibility that this step will be taken if pollution levels continue to worsen. The government is closely monitoring the air quality, not just in Delhi but also in neighboring areas like Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Noida, which are experiencing rising pollution levels.
