Delhi School Holiday: For the academic year 2025-26, the Directorate of Education (DoE) on Monday shared its calendar highlighting all public holidays and vacations. This academic calendar will be followed by all Government and Private schools in the national capital. Aim of this calendar is to streamline all academic activities, syllabus coverage, holidays and other important events.
Delhi school teachers, students and administrators will get a brief idea about all working days for the upcoming year.

Delhi Schools Summer Vacation Dates:
As per DoE's directives, summer vacation or summer holidays in Delhi Schools will start from May 11 to June 30. However, schools will start again for teachers from June 28, which is 2 days in advance, to make necessary arrangement for re-opening. These two-month holidays are to safeguard students from scorching heat and heat waves.
The autumn break for Delhi government and private schools is slated for September 29 to October 1, and winter vacations will occur from January 1 to 15.
This academic calendar also mentions key dates for examinations, results, and other important events like teachers and parents meet.
DoE has set Common Pre-Board School Examination (CPSE) for Classes 10 and 12 between December 15 to 31 and results for the same will be published by January 7, 2025.
Results for Classes I to XI will be announced between March 26 to March 31. While class XII board exam results announcement depends on CBSE's schedule.
Along with the roadmap, DoE also announced a list of 18 gazetted holidays:
- January 26: Republic Day
- February 26: Maha Shivratri
- March 14: Holi
- March 31: Id-ul-fitr
- April 10: Mahavir Jayanti
- April 18: Good Friday
- June 7: Id-ul-zuha (Bakrid)
- July 6: Muharram
- August 15: Independence Day
- August 16: Janmashtami
- September 5: Id-E-Milad
- October 2: Gandhi Jayanti
- October 2: Dussehra
- October 7: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
- October 20: Diwali
- November 5: Guru Nanak Jayanti
- December 25: Christmas Day
