Videos shared by ANI showed commuters struggling through waterlogged roads and vehicles attempting to navigate the flooding.

One of the most affected areas was the Parade Road underpass in Delhi Cantonment, which was severely waterlogged. Another video showed heavy traffic congestion in Dhaula Kuan due to the waterlogging.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued alerts, urging commuters to plan their journeys accordingly. They reported significant traffic disruptions, particularly on MB Road, the Outer Ring Road, and near the Saket Metro Station due to waterlogging.

"Due to waterlogging near GGR/ PDR underpass and Ring Road under Dhaula Kuan Flyover, traffic will remain affected on Ring Road, Vande Mataram Marg and NH 48," the police posted on X.

The breakdown of two buses near the APS colony under the GGR flyover further worsened the situation, affecting traffic towards Vasant Vihar and Dhaula Kuan.

Delhi and its adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) have been experiencing light to moderate rainfall since Tuesday, with heavy showers, thunderstorms, and lightning reported on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh has been grappling with heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours, causing significant disruption in the state.

The IMD issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in regions like Kullu, Chamba, Kangra, and Mandi.

Dr. Kuldeep Srivastava, head of IMD Himachal Pradesh, noted, "While the monsoon is currently 30% below average in the state, August's rainfall remains normal. We have issued a yellow warning for heavy rains for the next 24 hours."

The persistent rain has caused damage across the state, with 126 roads closed and several trees uprooted.
