Delhi Public School, 2 Others Receive Fresh Bomb Threats; Search Operations On

Panic gripped several schools in Delhi on Monday morning after they received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate evacuations and large-scale security responses.

Threats Target Prominent Schools
Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School in Dwarka's Sector-4, and ShreeRam World School in Sector-10 were among the institutions that received the threatening emails. Authorities swiftly evacuated students and staff while police and bomb disposal squads conducted thorough searches of the premises.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, the threat was sent via a Gmail account and circulated to multiple schools. While no explosives have been found so far, security agencies are treating the matter with utmost seriousness, given the recurring nature of such alerts.

DPS Dwarka, which had faced similar threats twice before, announced an emergency closure for the day. This marks the third such threat to the school in recent weeks, raising concerns over the safety of students and the motives behind the repeated threats.

In a notice to parents, the school stated, "Kindly note that the school has been closed for today, i.e., Monday, August 18, 2025, due to unavoidable circumstances."

Students using school transport were sent back home, with teachers sharing live location updates for safety. Parents picking up their children were directed to specific gates based on class groups-from Pre-School at Gate No. 7 to senior students at Gate No. 1.

The repeated disruptions have left parents deeply worried. "It's frightening to see this happening again and again. The school is handling it well, but how long will this keep happening?" said a parent of a Class 5 student.

Responding to the situation, a parent told ANI: "We received a message from the school to take the children back. They did not tell the reason. So we have come here to take back our child."

Investigation Underway
Delhi Police have not yet confirmed whether the latest threats originated from the same source as the previous hoaxes. Forensic teams are analyzing the email for digital footprints, while security remains heightened across schools in the capital.

For now, classes remain suspended as bomb squads continue their checks. Authorities have assured parents that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure student safety.
