Delhi Explosion: Eyewitnesses Recall Chaotic Moments During Blast Near Red Fort Metro Station

A deadly explosion near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening has left eight people dead and damaged multiple vehicles, leaving residents shaken. Eyewitnesses have shared harrowing accounts of the blast, describing it as deafening and chaotic.

"I saw the flames from my house and then came down to see what had happened. There was a loud explosion. I live nearby," said local resident Rajdhar Pandey, recalling the terrifying moments from his home.

A shopkeeper in the area described the blast as unlike anything he had ever experienced. "I never heard such a loud explosion ever in my life. I fell three times due to the explosion. It felt as if we were all going to die..." he told ANI.

Several witnesses reported that the force of the explosion felt almost seismic. "The explosion was so loud, it felt like there was an earthquake," another local resident said.

The blast occurred near Gate No. 1 of the Metro station, triggering fires in three to four nearby vehicles. Following the incident, seven fire tenders were dispatched to control the fires, and authorities have sounded a high alert across Delhi.
