AAP Poised To Defeat BJP, Congress To Retain Power In Delhi: WeePreside Exit Poll
As the dust settles on the high-octane Delhi Assembly elections, exit polls have thrown up a mixed bag of predictions, leaving political enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. While most pollsters foresee a BJP resurgence, one exit poll has bucked the trend, predicting a hat-trick for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the national capital.
WeePreside Exit Poll For Delhi Elections
According to WeePreside, AAP is set to retain power, albeit with a reduced majority. The pollster projects AAP to win 46-52 seats, the BJP to secure 18-23 seats, and the Congress to draw a near-blank with 0-1 seat. The majority mark in the 70-member Delhi Assembly is 36 seats.

This prediction stands in stark contrast to other surveys, most of which have painted a more favourable picture for the BJP. At least seven pollsters have forecast a historic victory for the BJP, with some even suggesting a dramatic reversal of fortunes. Among them, Peoples Pulse has been the most optimistic for the BJP, projecting it to win 51-60 seats, while reducing AAP to a mere 10-19 seats. The Congress, according to this poll, is likely to fail to open its account yet again.
The AAP, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has dominated Delhi's political landscape in the last two elections. In 2015, the party swept 67 out of 70 seats, leaving the BJP with just three. In 2020, AAP repeated its stellar performance, winning 62 seats, while the BJP managed to increase its tally to eight. The Congress, once a dominant force in Delhi, has been relegated to the sidelines, failing to win a single seat in both elections.
This time, however, the BJP has mounted an aggressive campaign, banking on its national narrative and high-profile leadership to sway voters. The AAP, on the other hand, has focused on its governance record, particularly in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, to counter the BJP's push.
