Delhi Elections 2025: Rebel AAP MLA Rajkumari Dhillon Protests In Arvind Kejriwal's Rally
Arvind Kejriwal's rally in Hari Nagar on Thursday was disrupted by a rebel AAP MLA, Rajkumari Dhillon. As Kejriwal addressed the crowd, Dhillon arrived with her supporters and began shouting slogans against him. The situation escalated, causing Kejriwal to pause his speech momentarily. Police intervened to manage the confrontation between party workers.
Dhillon, who is an AAP MLA, expressed her anger after being replaced as a candidate just before nominations. She accused the party of taking money to field another candidate in her place. Feeling betrayed after campaigning for a month, she decided to contest as an independent candidate, seeking public support based on her past work.

Political Tensions Rise
The rally was part of Kejriwal's campaign for Surinder Setia, the party's candidate in Hari Nagar. During his speech at a roadside gathering, Dhillon climbed onto a car roof and took a microphone to voice her dissent. Her supporters joined in, chanting "Chor hai-chor hai," disrupting the event further.
Kejriwal resumed his speech after police moved Dhillon's convoy away from the scene. The incident highlighted internal tensions within AAP and raised questions about party unity ahead of elections. Despite the disruption, Kejriwal continued to address his supporters.
Kejriwal's Allegations
Following the rally disturbance, Kejriwal accused Home Minister Amit Shah of orchestrating attacks against him. On Instagram, he claimed that opposition supporters were allowed into his meeting and that his car was attacked under Shah's orders. He criticised the Delhi Police for acting like BJP's personal army.
Kejriwal also questioned the Election Commission's effectiveness in protecting national party leaders from such incidents. He expressed concern over repeated attacks on him and other leaders without any significant action being taken by authorities.
