Delhi Elections 2025: Arvind Kejriwal Asks Yogi Adityanath To Give Some Lessons To Amit Shah Over Law & Order

Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over Delhi's worsening law and order. He highlighted the increasing gangster activities in the capital.

Kejriwal suggested that Adityanath, who claims to have curbed gangster activities in Uttar Pradesh, should advise Union Home Minister Amit Shah on managing Delhi's situation. The Delhi Police is under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Law and Order Concerns

"Yogi has rightly pointed out the law and order situation in Delhi. Gangsters are openly extorting businessmen and threatening them to give Rs 3-4 crores. Women feel unsafe, and violent crimes such as chain snatching and dacoity are rampant," Kejriwal stated.

The former Delhi CM urged Adityanath to collaborate with Shah to address the escalating lawlessness. "If Yogi has successfully tackled gangster raj in Uttar Pradesh, he should guide Amit Shah on how to do the same in Delhi," Kejriwal added.

Security Arrangements Controversy

Additionally, Kejriwal accused the BJP of politicising his security arrangements. Following the withdrawal of Punjab Police personnel assigned to his protection, he expressed disappointment, labelling it as "pure politics." He alleged that his car was attacked by supporters of a rival candidate with Amit Shah's tacit approval. However, the Delhi Police denied these claims.

Punjab Police clarified that their withdrawal was based on directions from both the Delhi Police and the Election Commission.

Kejriwal's remarks come amid rising concerns about safety in Delhi. He emphasised that women feel insecure due to rampant crimes like chain snatching and dacoity. He called for immediate action to restore order.
