Gautam, who resides in Raghubir Nagar, revealed more details during questioning. He admitted to killing Manya with a sharp weapon. The couple had married in March without their families' approval and lived separately, meeting occasionally.

The tragic event unfolded on Sunday night when Gautam met Manya in a car at Titarpur in Rajouri Garden. According to another police officer, "Around 11 pm, Manya insisted that they should start living together and an argument between them took place in the car itself."
