Delhi Crime: E-Rickshaw Driver Shot Dead in Nand Nagri, Police Probe Personal Rivalry

New Delhi: A shocking daylight murder in northeast Delhi's Nand Nagri area on Saturday (November 8) has sparked fear and outrage among residents. A 25-year-old man, identified as Sunny, was fatally shot at B1 Park, where he had reportedly arrived for work.

According to police officials, the incident occurred around 6:57 pm. Sunny was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, and despite immediate police response, he was declared dead at the spot. His body was later shifted to GTB Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Investigation Underway

A case has been registered under sections of murder and the Arms Act, and multiple teams are investigating the killing. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the park and nearby homes to identify the attackers and track their movements before and after the incident.

Preliminary investigation suggests that an old personal rivalry may have been the motive behind the crime, as indicated by the victim's family. Law enforcement agencies are conducting raids in several locations to trace the suspects.

The murder, committed in broad daylight and in a densely populated area, has raised serious concerns about public safety in the neighborhood. Residents expressed fear over the brazenness of the crime and urged authorities to step up security and patrolling in the area.
