Delhi Building Collapse in Burari: 9 Fire Tenders Deployed to Collapse Site
A building collapsed in the Burari area of Delhi on Monday, according to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) department. Several people are feared trapped inside the structure, located near Oscar Public School in the Kaushik Enclave of Burari.

Nine fire tenders were dispatched to the site, where large piles of rubble and debris were visible. Many ambulances also arrived to assist with the situation. DFS Chief Atul Garg confirmed that the incident occurred around 6:56 pm, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

"Our teams, in coordination with the police, are working to locate and rescue those trapped under the rubble. Initial reports suggest structural weakness may have caused the collapse, but investigations are ongoing," Garg said.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his sorrow about the tragedy, posting on X, "This incident is very sad. Our MLA from Burari, Sanjeev Jha ji, has been instructed to immediately go there with party workers and help the administration in relief and rescue work, as well as support the local people in every possible way."
Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha, along with several AAP workers, arrived at the scene as directed by Kejriwal. He confirmed that eight people had been rescued and taken to Burari Hospital.

"Following the instructions of Arvind Kejriwal, I, along with party workers, immediately reached the spot to assist the administration with relief and rescue operations. Our senior worker, Dhamu ji, and other workers have rescued eight people so far and brought them to Burari Hospital," Jha said in a post on X.
"We are providing every possible help to the local residents during this difficult time, and we are all working together to support those affected," he added. A video shared by Jha showed rescue officials pulling people from the debris.
