Delhi Buckles Up For Scorching Week As Temperatures Set To Hit 44°C, IMD Issues Yellow Alert
Delhi is bracing for a spell of extreme heat, with temperatures expected to soar to 44 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
The national capital is set to endure a prolonged period of oppressive weather, as hot and humid conditions are forecast to persist until Thursday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the next four days, urging residents to take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
Daytime temperatures in Delhi are likely to reach 44 degrees Celsius, exacerbated by high humidity levels, making conditions feel even more intense. Night-time temperatures will remain uncomfortably warm, offering little respite from the sweltering heat.
On Saturday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, 0.2 degrees below the seasonal average. The IMD had also predicted strong surface winds for Sunday.
However, there may be some relief ahead, as the weather agency has forecast the possibility of thunderstorms.
According to the IMD, thunderstorm activity is expected to begin after Thursday, which could help bring temperatures down and offer a break from the prevailing heatwave-like conditions.
