Delhi: 50-year-old landlord sexually assaults minor; arrested

New Delhi, June 16: A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 50-year-old man in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar area today.

The incident took place early morning when the minor was returning home after buying a packet of milk and the accused, who is the landlord of her family's rented house, lured her to a secluded place where he allegedly forced himself upon her, a senior police official said.

The girl narrated her ordeal to her parents, who later approached police.

A case under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act was registered at Neb Sarai Police Station and the man was arrested, the official said.
