Congress Manifesto For Delhi Polls: Free Electricity, Rs 2,500 for Women
With just a week remaining for the Delhi Assembly elections, the Congress on Wednesday released its manifesto, pledging to conduct a caste census and establish a dedicated ministry for Purvanchalis if voted to power in Delhi.
The party has pledged a monthly allowance of ₹2,500 for women and free electricity for up to 300 units. Additionally, Congress has vowed to provide free medical treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh for Delhi residents.

To attract young voters, the party has promised a one-year apprenticeship in both public and private sectors, with a monthly stipend of ₹8,500 for trainees. It also plans to set up 100 Indira Canteens across the city, offering meals at just ₹5.
Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maken stated that the manifesto reflects Congress' governance track record in Delhi and other states where the party is in power.
