Commercial LPG prices slashed by Rs 171.50: Check city-wise rates
Indian oil marketing companies on Monday reduced the price of commercial LPG by Rs 171.50 for a 19-kg cylinder, with effect from May 1.
A 19 kg of Commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,856.50 in the national capital. However, the price of domestic LPG gas cylinders or domestic gas remains unchanged.
In Mumbai, the cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder is Rs 1,808.50 whereas it costs Rs 1,960.50 in Kolkata. The LPG cylinder price in Chennai will cost Rs 2,021.50 with effect from today.

Meanwhile, crude oil prices have been falling sharply over the last couple of months raising hopes that this could lead to some relief for domestic LPG cylinder prices as well.

In April, the government slashed the LPG prices by Rs 91.50 per unit, standing at Rs 2,028 per unit.
While oil marketing companies had on March 1 increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 350.50 per unit. Domestic LPG cylinder prices were hiked by Rs 50 per unit.
