Social Media Friendship Turns Horrific As British Woman Raped By Friend In Delhi; 2 Arrested

In a shocking incident, a British woman was raped in a Mahipalpur hotel in New Delhi, according to news agency ANI.

"A man was arrested on charges of rape with a British woman in a Mahipalpur hotel in Delhi. His accomplice was arrested on charges of molestation. The woman, who was friends with the man through social media had come to Delhi from the UK to meet him. The information about the incident has also been given to the British High Commission," Delhi Police said in a statement.

The accused are identified as Kailash, a resident of Vasundhara, Mayur Vihar, East Delhi and his friend Wasim, Hindustan Times reported.

Kailash, who makes Instagram Reels, connected with the victim, who hails from London, through social media. She came to India recently and had gone to Maharashtra and Goa.

She had invited Kailash to come to Goa but he asked her to come to Delhi. At his request, the victim landed in the national capital.

The duo had a party at a hotel in Mahipalur, where she stayed. Wasim had also joined the party and all three consumed alcohol.

After the dinner she headed to her room where Kailash raped her, Amara Ujala reported.

Minor Girl Raped By Her Own Father

In another shameful incident, an 8-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father in Delhi. The incident occurred in Sadar Bazar.

The girl's mother has lodged a complaint on March 8. The accused is a vegetable vendor who was caught by the localities and handed over to the cops.
