Bad Touch! If A Woman Slaps You In Delhi Metro, What Will You Do?

On a busy Monday morning, when everyone was rushing towards their offices and colleges, at Delhi Metro's Okhla Bird Century station, a woman slapped a man thrice...leaving everyone stunned.

The incident reportedly happened at around 8:45 am, during Delhi Metro's peak rush hour. People who travel by train must have witnessed the large crowd entering and leaving the public transport at almost every station.

Woman Slaps Man Thrice In Delhi Metro

The crowd gets uncontrolled sometimes as everyone hurries to reach their destinations or to get a comfortable position in the metro coach to travel for hours. The situation sometimes gets uncomfortable for the commuters, men and women, both.

Today, when a woman was boarding the metro, she shouted at a man, around 38 to 40 years old, and hurled three back-to-back slaps. The man was shocked, quiet, almost in tears. He couldn't say anything as retaliating again would have gone against him only.

He left the train at the next station.

Co-passengers, who witnessed the incident, felt bad for the man as he didn't push her and the situation was out of his control. A man traveling in the same metro said, slapping or engaging in any kind of physical assault is not right, irrespective of gender. Adding that the law of the land only tags males as culprits.

Some women traveling in the same coach were murmuring that the woman must have felt the bad touch, maybe that's why she slapped the man. While another woman said, that she must be frustrated with something or would be having some other bad past, which led to the slapping incident.

But what if the man would have done the same?

People need to understand that if everyone in this world is not good, then everyone is not bad either. Sometimes it is just the situation, and engaging in a physical assault is never a good option.

The situation left us with some big and important unanswered questions:

What would have you done if you were at that man's place?

Would you have also done the same, stood there quietly, or opted to slap the girl back?

Which may lead to criminal proceedings against you.

Or being a girl, you would have opted for some other way to mark protest against the 'bad touch' incident?

Think and ask yourself, that if someday, unfortunately, you encounter such a situation, how would you feel and what would you do?
