Atishi's Victory Dance Post AAP's Rout In Delhi Polls Invokes Reaction From Swati Maliwal: 'Shameless Display'
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was seen dancing in celebration after securing victory in the Assembly elections from the Kalkaji constituency.
However, her actions drew strong criticism from AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, who described it as a "shameless display". Maliwal's remarks came amid AAP's crushing defeat in the polls.

A video emerged showing Atishi dancing with her supporters following her triumph in the Kalkaji Assembly seat. Maliwal questioned the appropriateness of such celebrations, given that nearly all senior AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, had lost their seats.
"What kind of shameless display is this? The party lost, all the big leaders lost, and Atishi Marlena is celebrating like this?" she wrote.
Atishi managed to retain the Kalkaji seat after a closely contested battle, securing 52,154 votes and defeating BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri by a margin of 3,521 votes.
The contest was tense, with Bidhuri initially taking the lead, raising fears that AAP might suffer yet another setback. However, Atishi managed to turn the tide in the later stages of counting, securing one of the party's few victories.
Despite her individual win, the overall election result was disastrous for AAP, which managed only 28 seats, while the BJP made a triumphant return to power in Delhi after 27 years with a resounding 48-seat victory.
Earlier in the day, Atishi addressed the media, expressing gratitude towards the people of Kalkaji and her campaign team.
"I thank the people of Kalkaji for showing trust in me. I congratulate my team who worked against 'baahubal'. We accept the people's mandate. I have won, but this is not a time to celebrate-it is a time to continue our fight against the BJP's dictatorship and hooliganism," she stated.
AAP suffered a significant electoral setback, with key leaders such as Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Durgesh Pathak, and Manish Sisodia all losing their seats.
In terms of vote share, AAP secured 43.57%, while the BJP, making a comeback, obtained 45.56%. The Congress, which failed to win a single seat, managed only 6.34% of the votes.
