Assam gangrape: Autopsy report reveals that victim was not raped

Lakhimpur, Assam, Nov 27: In a shocking twist, the gangrape victim from Assam was not raped, the autopsy report has revealed.

According to Headlines Today, the autopsy performed on the 30-year-old woman stated that she was not raped and that she died due to injuries inflicted on her by a blunt object.

The police also arrested one person on Wednesday night in connection with the case. However the arrest now raises questions if the victim was not raped, then why arrest anybody and on what basis are these arrests being made.

Reports had earlier suggested that the woman was in a tempo en route to pick her daughter from school when she was gangraped by four men.

The men raped her, gouged her eyes out and then threw her out of the tempo. Eyewitnesses say that she died on her way to the hospital.
