AAP may send Anjali Damania to convince Shazia Ilmi to withdraw resignation

New Delhi, June 7: After the rift between top AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Yogendra Yadav came out in the open following a letter written by Sisodia, the AAP is now trying its best to deny any cracks within the party.

In fact, if reports are to be believed AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is trying his best to bring back Shazia Ilmi.

The party on Friday met for its National Executive meeting, where the party said that it would try to convince Imli to join the party again.

AAP leader Prashant Bhushan said: "In any new party there are bound to be problems. That is why we are here to discuss all the issues." On asking if Yogendra Yadav was distanced from the party, Bhushan denied the fact saying that Yadav would never be isolated from the party.

Reports also suggest that AAP leader Anjali Damania, who had earlier said that she would quit the party but retracted her staments, will be sent to convince Ilmi.

Ilmi had earlier resigned from the party on May 24 saying that AAP had made some mistakes (read more)
