AAP leaders launch cleanliness drive, clean Delhi streets
New Delhi, June 13: A day after MCD workers called off their protest in the capital, AAP leaders on Saturday launched a sanitation drive and were seen cleaning the streets.
AAP leaders like Ashish Khetan, Manish Sisodia, Alka Lamba and others were seen cleaning the streets of Delhi.

Sisodia said that AAP leaders were here to show their support to sanitation workers.
"We are here to support the sanitation workers. Delhi government doesn't have the money but we have taken out funds to pay workers. If BJP can't pay their salaries, we will not only pay salaries but also help them clean up."
AAP leaders said that there was rampant corruption in the MCD and that Delhi will be clean only when the MCD is free of corruption.
The strike by sanitation workers in Delhi was called off on Friday, a union leader said.
The decision to call off the stir was taken after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government released Rs 513 crores to pay the salaries of the municipal corporation employees.
