AAP govt replaces Tomar; DJB chairman Kapil Mishra is Delhi's new law minister
New Delhi, June 10: A day after Jitender Singh Tomar, the law minister of Delhi was arrested by the Delhi Police over fake degree row, on Wednesday, June 10, sources said that Kapil Mishra is likely to replace him.
"Delhi Jal Board Chairman Kapil Mishra has been named as new Law Minister of Delhi", PTI confirmed.
Born on Nov 13, 1980, Kapil Mishra is the MLA from Karawal Nagar constituency. [Arvind Kejriwal launches mission '1 lakh votes' in Karawal Nagar]

In the 2015 Delhi assembly polls, MIshra had won by a margin of 44,431 votes.
On April 28, Tuesday, OneIndia had reported that Kejriwal government might sack Tomar and Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra is likely to be made new law minister of Delhi.
As a social worker, Mishra has worked with renowned organisations like Greenpeace and Amnesty International.
While exposing corruption during CommonWealth Games 2010, Mishra had written a book, "It's Common v/s Wealth".
He is also the co-founder and coordinator of a group called, "Youth For Justice". He is said to have raised his voice on issues like Jessica Lal murder case, farmers suicides issue and encroachment on Yamuna River bed.
As Delhi court remanded Tomar to a four-day police custody, he submitted his resignation to the chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
