4 killed as speeding truck mows down people sleeping on road divider in Delhi's Seemapuri
New Delhi, Sep 21: At least four people were killed after a speeding truck ran over people sleeping on a road divider in Delhi's Seemapuri last night. Two others were also injured in the incident.
The driver fled the spot with the truck after the incident. Multiple police teams have been formed and a search is on for the accused. The police said that several teams have been formed to trace the truck.
According to the police, two died on the spot and four people were shifted immediately to GTB Hospital, where one was declared brought dead and the other one breathed his last during the initial treatment.

The incident happened around 1:51 am, when a speeding truck mowed down 4 people and injured 2 people who were sleeping on the road divider while crossing DTC Depot Redlight in Seemapuri. Two people died on the spot, one was declared brought dead and the fourth died during initial treatment," the police said.
"The 4 deceased persons have been identified as 52-year-old Kareem, 25-year-old Chotte Khans, 38-year-old Shah Alam and 45-year-old Rahul. The two who were injured are 16-year-old Manish and 30-year-old Pradeep. Several teams have been formed to trace the vehicle involved. A case has been filed under appropriate sections," the police said.
