27 Indian fishermen detained by Sri Lankan Navy
New Delhi, Dec 11: Days after five fishermen were released from Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan navy detained 27 fishermen from Tamil Nadu on charges of poaching. However they were soon let off after a warning.

The Navy personnel took control of their boats are reportedly damaged their fishing nets on Thursday.
While 13 fishermen from Jagadapattinam in Thanjavur district were detained along with three boats, 14 fishermen from here were held with their three boats when they were fishing in the mid-sea.
