Capturing the city's collective euphoria, a viral video shared on X showcased the overwhelming turnout along Marine Drive. The scene depicted in the video, shared by news agency ANI, highlighted a sea of people eagerly awaiting Team India's procession. The crowd's presence was such that it completely occupied the road, leading to a standstill of all vehicles, including public transportation.

The parade itself, planned from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium, symbolized the nation's pride in the team's achievement. The enthusiastic turnout underscored Mumbai's deep-rooted passion for cricket and its unwavering support for the national team's success in the prestigious T20 World Cup.

Due to the victory parade, security in the city was increased. People were urged by DCP Zone 1 Pravin Munde to arrive before 4:30 pm to assemble on the side of the promenade. Munde stated that the Indian cricket team would be reaching Mumbai the following day after winning the T20 World Cup.

A victory procession in an open bus was scheduled to be held from 5-7 pm on Marine Drive between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium. Munde advised attendees to arrive before 4:30 pm and assemble on the promenade side rather than on the road.

Munde added that a victory lap was scheduled to be held in Wankhede Stadium at 7 pm. It was advised by him that attendees ensure they reached and were seated in the stadium before 6 pm. People were encouraged by him to use public transport to avoid traffic congestion.
