Vote remarks: FIR registered against Ajit Pawar

According to a report, FIR has been registered under Sections 171 C (undue influence at elections) and 171F (punishment for undue influence or personation at an election) of the IPC.
On Friday, Suresh Khopde, a former police officer and the AAP candidate from Baramati had filed a complaint against Ajit Pawar, alleging that he threatened villagers on Wednesday night (on the day of polling) to vote for Supriya Sule or face water cut.
In his complaint, he also referred to a video, which is visually unclear but has a good audio.
Khopde also said that he has verified the video and has also spoken to villagers in Baramati, some of whom have agreed to file a complaint.
Pawar had reportedly visited villages with a group of 50-60 supporters and threatened the residents of Masalwadi village in public rallies.
Khopde also claimed that a BJP leader too has filed a complaint against Pawar.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath said that a report was awaited in the matter.
"We heard about it. We are awaiting a report in the matter", he said.
