Uddhav Thackeray-Raj Thackeray Alliance? Aaditya Says Ready To Work With Anyone For Interest Of Marathi People
Amidst ongoing speculation about a possible reconciliation between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray expressed openness to collaborating with any party that prioritises the welfare of Maharashtra and its Marathi-speaking population. He emphasised the importance of unity for the state's interests, stating, "We are ready to work with anyone, any party that is ready to work in the interests of Maharashtra and Marathi-speaking people."
In a recent statement, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed rumours regarding his relationship with his cousin Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). He remarked, "What is in Maharashtra's heart will happen." This comment has fuelled discussions about a potential political realignment in the state.

Thackeray Cousins' Potential Reconciliation
The possibility of the Thackeray cousins joining forces has been a topic of interest. Raj Thackeray echoed Uddhav's sentiments by suggesting that uniting for the benefit of the Marathi community is feasible. However, Uddhav clarified that any reconciliation would require setting aside minor disagreements and distancing from those who oppose Maharashtra's interests.
Aaditya Thackeray criticised the BJP, accusing them of causing harm to Mumbai and Maharashtra. He stated, "Our responsibility is to bring in a change," urging parties working for Maharashtra's welfare to unite and fight together.
Past Attempts at Alliance
MNS leader Amit Thackeray commented on the alliance speculations between Uddhav and Raj. He stressed that public statements won't resolve anything and only direct discussions between the two leaders could lead to meaningful outcomes. "Only the two brothers should talk," he said, recalling previous unsuccessful attempts at forming a Shiv Sena-MNS alliance in 2014 and 2017.
The cousins were once close but parted ways nearly two decades ago due to ideological differences. Their recent remarks have reignited talks about a possible political collaboration in Maharashtra.
