Twist in Mumbai Molestation Case: She asked for sexual favours, says accused gym trainer

Mumbai, Sep 10: The molestation case against the gym trainer took a new turn when the accused filed a counter complaint against the complainant.

Karan Kirad, a trainer at Waves Gym at Andheri, was arrested by the Amboli Police on Sep 6, for allegedly molesting and threatening a woman. [Mumbai: Gym trainer arrested for molesting and threatening woman]

The accused filed a complaint with the Amboli police on Sep 9. In his complaint he has alleged that the complainant has sought sexual favours from him.

The denial of that led to the filing of fake complaint against him. Karan has received around 315 texts from the woman asking for sexual favors.

The accused was produced in the court on Tuesday, Sep 8. Karan told the court about the text messages he got from the complainant.

The court granted him bail and he filed an NC (non-cognisable) complaint at the Amboli police station. The Police have registered a case and probe has begun.

Karan said that, the woman has given complaints against him to the gym management. The complainant wanted personal training at her home.

In spite of that she started asking sexual favours from him. He kept denying it and that provoked the woman to file a false complaint against him.

According to media reports, the gym management said that the complainant had problem with every other client in the gym.

They also told that the woman has requested to send Karan to her home for personal training. But Karan denied the request as he was not comfortable with the complainant.

The gym authorities have not taken any action on the complaint given by the woman because they know that he was innocent.

At the same time, the complainant said that the accused wanted to tarnish her image in the society and the messages were fake, created by some software.
