In the early hours of a Thursday morning, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan found himself in a perilous situation when an unknown assailant invaded his home, leading to Khan sustaining six stab wounds. The attack, which took a more serious turn due to two deep wounds and one perilously close to his spine, necessitated immediate surgical intervention.

Lilavati Hospital, where Khan was rushed post-incident, disclosed that a foreign object was detected near the actor's spine, amplifying concerns over his condition.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer at Lilavati Hospital, detailed the actor’s injuries and the urgent care he received upon arrival. "Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unidentified person at his house. He was brought in at 3:00 am by the caretaker. He has six wounds from sharp objects like knives etc., of which two wounds are deep and one close to his spine.

A small piece of foreign body close to the spine is identified," Uttamani explained. The hospital also revealed that Khan is under the care of a team of specialists, including Dr. Nitin Dange, a Consultant Neurosurgeon, and several others, emphasizing the critical nature of his injuries.

The incident unfolded at the 'Satguru Sharan' building, Khan's residence, where the assailant initially engaged in a confrontation with the actor's maid.
