New CCTV Footage Emerges In Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra Stabbing Case - Watch

Even as the Mumbai cops are investigating the suspect at the Bandra Police Station, new developments continue to unfold in the case.

A new CCTV footage from Saif's building reveals a suspicious man climbing the stairs at around 1:38 AM, his face partially covered with a cloth and carrying a large backpack. Earlier, another clip showed the alleged attacker fleeing down the staircase from the sixth floor shortly after the incident.

On the other hand, the Mumbai police have recovered a weapon from Saif Ali Khan's residence - an old sword. Although its origin remains uncertain, it may be part of the actor's ancestral property, given his Nawab lineage and the family's possession of antiques, including the Pataudi Palace.

Saif was attacked with a 2.5-inch knife by an intruder who gained entry to his home through his youngest son Jeh's room. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 16 when Saif attempted to fend off the burglar.

Saif Ali Khan Recuperating

The actor sustained six stab wounds, with two dangerously close to his spine. Doctors successfully removed the knife from his wounds during surgery. Saif has since been moved to the ICU, where he is reported to be out of danger and steadily recovering.

An FIR has been lodged at the Bandra Police Station. The caretaker of Saif's residence informed the police that the attacker demanded ₹1 crore during the robbery. Additionally, it was revealed that the actor was assaulted with a wooden object and a hexa blade.

Meanwhile, the suspect was detained near Bandra railway station on Friday. While officials have not yet confirmed whether he is the attacker, the image from the footage bears a strong resemblance. Investigators believe the suspect changed his clothes to avoid being identified. Police have formed 20 teams, employing technical data and informer networks to track the accused.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when an intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan's residence and attacked him with a knife. Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which are severe, including one dangerously close to his spine.
