Rapid Action Force Deployed After 2 Groups Clash During Ram Mandir Event In Mumbai's Mira Road
The Rapid Action Force marched into the Muslim-dominated Naya Nagar area of Mira Road in response to escalating tensions. Two days earlier, a Hindu activist march in the same area had been attacked, leading to communal strife. Authorities have arrested 23 youths in connection with the attack.
Incidents of 'communal tension' in Mumbai's Mira Road surfaced on social media just before the pran-pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya. Police reported an incident on Sunday night, resulting in the arrest of five individuals. A subsequent flag march was conducted in the area, and the situation remained peaceful on Monday morning.

According to DCP Jayant Bajbale, slogans were raised from three to four vehicles carrying members of the Hindu community, sparking an argument with individuals from the Muslim community. Prompt police intervention led to the arrest of some individuals, bringing the situation under control. The Naya Nagar Police registered a case against five people, initiating an investigation.
Videos of the incident, which circulated ahead of the pran-pratishtha ceremony, depicted cars being attacked in the middle of the road, with perpetrators breaking glasses and hurling abuses. The authenticity of the videos could not be independently verified by Hindustan Times.
The DCP clarified that the incident was not communal violence but a minor altercation that escalated from an argument. He appealed to the public not to believe in any rumors.
