Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference in Mumbai on Monday and attacked PM Modi and Business tycoon Gautam Adani. Raising the issue of the Dharavi slum redevelopment, Rahul Gandhi questioned why only PM Modi's friends get the tenders.

Rahul Gandhi said Congress and its alliance partners will not let BJP snatch the rights of the people of Dharavi. He said PM only wants to give benefits only to his businessman friend, while the Opposition wants things to be done in favour of locals.

Rahul added that Rs 7 Lakh crore projects like Foxconn, Airbus, Apple Manufacturing Unit were shifted to Gujarat taking away more than 5 lakh job opportunities from Youth of Maharashtra.

PM wants to distract the mainstream issues like unemployment and inflation by creating religious divides with useless slogans.

He added that he agrees with Uddhav Thackeray's stand against PM Modi's decision to give the tender for Dharavi redevelopment to Adani.

Rahul tagged the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections as a battle of ideologies between a few billionaires and the common people of the state.

He also reiterated Congress' stance on the caste census calling it is biggest issue today and INDIA bloc will get it done. He called the caste census one of the central pillars of democracy.
