Rahul Gandhi Leads 'Nyay Sankalp Padyatra' Rally Through Mumbai Streets

Rahul Gandhi, alongside his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Tushar Gandhi, initiated the 'Nyay Sankalp Padyatra' on Sunday morning from Mani Bhavan, the residence of Mahatma Gandhi located in south Mumbai.

This foot march, joined by supporters from the Congress party, is slated to proceed towards the August Kranti Maidan, historically significant as the starting point of the Quit India movement in 1942 during India's struggle for independence from British rule.

Notably, members of various opposition constituents within the INDIA bloc also participated in this padayatra. Before this event, Rahul Gandhi concluded his 63-day-long 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' by paying homage to Dr B R Ambedkar at the 'Chaityabhoomi' memorial in central Mumbai.

During this final leg of the yatra, he read out the Preamble of the Constitution as a symbolic gesture. The 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', initiated on January 14 from strife-torn Manipur, was part of a comprehensive outreach strategy aimed at engaging with citizens in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections.

In a show of collective strength, the opposition INDIA bloc has planned a rally in the evening, where prominent leaders like Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, and SP's Akhilesh Yadav are scheduled to participate. This event aims to galvanize support and demonstrate unity among opposition parties against the ruling government.
