Nepal earthquake: Bollywood actor Manisha Koirala warns of organisations misusing funds
Mumbai, April 30: People and organisations from across the world are lending support to those affected in Nepal by the earthquake that struck the nation on April 25.
While many have volunteered to be a part of the rescue operations, others have contributed by sending supplies and making monetary donations.

Amidst all this Bollywood actor Manisha Koirala, who hails from Nepal has said that it saddens her to see that people are trying to make money from these funds meant for victims and has warned people of such organisations.
"I have been warned that a lot of organisations would be misusing this situation so I request everyone who wants to help to please double check the accountability then only offer help," said a post on her Facebook page.
She added that all those who want to go to Nepal and want to help must bear in mind that there are already a lot of people there and that there is shortage of food and water.

"So I request all my well meaning friends that please please be mindful of helping in such a way that it is maximum utilised by the victims, the situation is very very grave, my brother has been taking rounds on the field n it is heartbreaking," the post further reads.
Nepal was struck by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake on Saturday that has left over 5,000 dead and many injured.
