Mumbai: Women Seen Clinging Onto Moving Train As It Gets Delayed By 40 Mins | WATCH

In a startling incident, a group of women were filmed travelling not inside a Mumbai local train, but dangerously clinging to its exterior.

The video shows several women holding onto the train's exterior, standing on the footboard while the train was in motion. One woman can be heard shouting, while another swiftly turned her head away upon noticing the camera.

According to the post, the Kalyan Ladies Special had been delayed by 40 minutes, prompting the passengers to board in this perilous manner. The train operates between Kalyan and Mumbai CST.

The post was captioned, "#ViralVideo #CRFixLocalTrainDelays Today's Ladies Special from Kalyan was delayed by 40 mins, forcing women to hang on the footboard-an unsafe and risky commute. Railways term this dangerous, yet delays continue. @AshwiniVaishnaw, pls review the delay data." The official Railway Seva account replied, "For necessary action escalated to the concerned official."

Social Media Responds to Shocking Clip

Many social media users expressed outrage and concern.

One person wrote, "It is a daily chorus of bona fide passengers and taxpayers, @AshwiniVaishnaw. Hon'ble Minister should take appropriate actions to save the life and Lifeline of MMR citizens."

Another commented, "No one forced them. They just value their life less. There is always a next train, even if delayed." A third added, "This is a very serious issue every Mumbaikar has to endure due to frequent train delays."

Further criticism included questions on passenger safety.

"Why do local trains even operate if they are so overloaded? It's the responsibility of the Railways and @grpmumbai to ensure passenger safety. This has always been ignored and it's time for change."

Others echoed concerns: "What is happening these days? Trains are delayed every day, and there's no response from railway authorities when asked online." One user summed it up: "This is not just a delay - it's the everyday reality."

Separate Incident Involving Railway Catering Staff

In another railway-related development, a YouTuber was reportedly assaulted by pantry staff during a night journey after allegedly lodging a complaint about overpriced food.

The Ministry of Railways posted on X: "After a detailed investigation into the incident involving the mishandling of a passenger on Train No. 14609 Hemkunt Express by the on-board catering staff, @IRCTCofficial has terminated its catering contract with Hotel Rajasthan with immediate effect."
