Mumbai Weather Today: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall, Yellow Alert Continues For Third Consecutive Day

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai today. Heavy rainfall is predicted for Mumbai and its suburbs. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Mumbai Weather Forecast For Next Five Days

The IMD has predicted the following weather conditions for Mumbai over the next five days. On June 26, the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius and the maximum 32 degrees Celsius, with a cloudy sky and heavy rain. On June 27, the minimum temperature will likely be 25 degrees Celsius and the maximum 32 degrees Celsius, again with a cloudy sky and heavy rain.

Similar conditions are expected on June 28, with temperatures ranging from 25 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius. Rain is predicted on June 29 and 30, with temperatures remaining between 25 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius.

June in Mumbai is typically characterised by high temperatures ranging from 28 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius. The month sees frequent rainfall, with an average of 15 to 22 rainy days, consistent with the city's tropical monsoon climate. This period of heavy precipitation is expected to continue, providing both relief and challenges to the residents of Mumbai.

IMD Isuses Yellow Alert

The IMD has also issued yellow alerts for the districts of Palghar and Thane, predicting heavy rainfall at isolated places.

Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for Dhule, Nandurbar, Nasik, Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal. These regions will experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds (40-50 km/h) at isolated places.

IMD Issues Orange Alert

Furthermore, an orange alert has been issued by IMD for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Kolhapur, and Satara. These regions are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
