Mumbai Water Cut July 31: BMC Confirms 14-Hour Supply Disruption in Bandra, Khar for Pali Hill Valve Replaceme
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a planned 14-hour water cut in select areas of Bandra and Khar on Thursday, July 31, due to the replacement of four key valves at the Pali Hill reservoir. The maintenance work will be carried out from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, during which water supply to several localities will either be completely suspended or available at low pressure.
Affected Areas: Full Suspension and Low Pressure
As part of this essential infrastructure upgrade, water supply will be fully suspended during regular distribution hours in the following areas:

- Hanuman Nagar
- Lakshmi Nagar
- Union Park (Roads 1 to 4)
- Pali Hill
- Parts of Chuim Village
- Meanwhile, low-pressure water supply will be experienced in:
- Kantwadi
- Pali Naka
- Pali Gaothan
- Sherly
- Rajan and Mala Villages
- Khar Danda Koliwada
- Dandpada
- Chuim Gaothan
- Parts of Gazdharbandh slums
- Sections of West Khar
The reduced water pressure in these areas is attributed to ongoing operational adjustments linked to the valve replacement work.
BMC Advisory: Store and Use Water Cautiously
The BMC has urged all affected residents to store adequate water in advance and to use water judiciously throughout the day of the cut. Additionally, citizens are advised to boil and filter water before use for the next 4-5 days as a precautionary health measure.
This scheduled maintenance is part of the BMC's broader efforts to strengthen and upgrade Mumbai's water distribution infrastructure.
