Mumbai Water Crisis: No Water In Parts Of East Mumbai Today—Check Affected Areas And Timings
As per a mid-day report, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that water supply to several parts of eastern Mumbai will be disrupted on Tuesday, April 29 due to important pipeline work being carried out in Bhandup (East).
According to a statement issued on Monday by the BMC's Public Relations Department, the civic body will be connecting a 900 mm x 900 mm water pipeline at Chamunda Nagar. For this work to take place, the BMC will have to temporarily shut off the water supply in nearby areas.

However, BMC officials clarified that the shutdown will only begin after the regular morning water supply window, which runs from 3:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This means residents will receive water in the morning, but disruptions may follow later in the day.
Areas that are likely to be affected include:
- Nahur Station (East)
- Bhandup (East)
- Kanjurmarg (East)
- Vikhroli (East)
Residents have been strongly advised to store enough water in advance and to use it carefully until the supply returns to normal. The BMC has also assured that efforts will be made to complete the connection work swiftly and restore the supply as soon as possible.
This maintenance is part of BMC's ongoing infrastructure upgrades to improve water distribution in the city.
