Mumbai Viral Video: Suicide Of 26-Year-Old Salesman Raises Alarming Questions About Marriage Abuse

A shocking case of alleged suicide due to marriage-related harassment has surfaced from Mumbai, closely following the tragic death of Bengaluru AI engineer Atul Subhash. The case involves 26-year-old Ronak Nagda, a salesman from Dombivli, Mumbai, who took his own life on November 28, according to an Odisha TV report.

Before his death, Nagda left behind a video in which he blamed his in-laws for the mental and physical abuse he endured, which he said led to his tragic decision. The video has brought to light the harrowing ordeal Nagda faced at the hands of his family-in-law.

Amit Deshpande, founder of the Vaastav Foundation, shared handwritten notes and evidence from Nagda's mother on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter. The notes showed that Nagda's in-laws had been extorting money from him even before his marriage. Additionally, the documents outlined threats made by Nagda's father-in-law, Vipul Furia, and detailed an assault in April 2024 when Nagda tried to visit his wife and daughter.

Despite this evidence, Nagda's family has claimed that no arrests have been made and that the police have failed to take adequate action. They have also alleged that the FIR and post-mortem report have been diluted, downplaying the seriousness of the case.

This tragic incident, which took place weeks ago, is now drawing widespread attention as protests have begun, demanding justice for Nagda. His case has gained further significance in the wake of the suicide of Atul Subhash, an AI engineer from Bengaluru, who was found dead on December 9. Subhash left behind a 24-page suicide note and an 81-minute video, in which he detailed his struggles with dowry harassment and legal battles against his wife, shedding light on similar issues of marriage-related abuse.
